Entry Door Trends for 2023

Each year brings new ideas and trends when it comes to entry door designs.  This year is no different and entry doors continue making a statement in the overall exterior design of homes. We’ve chosen a few common selections that we are seeing from designers across the country and our clients.

1. Wider Entry

   Giving your entryway ample space has been an ongoing trend in the industry.  Not only this will create a unique look for your entrance but also allow for more light to come into your entryway.  Grand single or double-entry doors add instant appeal to your home.

2. Bold Colors

   This trend is one of our favorites, as it allows your personality to shine! From soft creamy whites and rose colors to deep greens and rich blues – don’t be afraid of adding a touch of color to your entry doors.  Paired with muted siding colors, the door will create an instant statement.

3. More glass

   From full-light doors to custom inserts, adding more glass to your door is a big trend for 2023.  Floor-to-ceiling sidelights and other bold custom options have been trending this year.  Adding more glass to your entry door instantly allows more natural light to enter your space.  This is always a great option and we consider this trend something that is here to stay.

4. Natural Wood Stains

   Paring your entry door with a natural wood stain is a timeless classic that will stay in style for decades to come. A wood stain or wood finish can offer a more natural look and bring other elements of your exterior design together.  Don’t be afraid to bring a bit of character to your entry door with a wood stain.

5. Smart Locks

   Throw away your keys and try an easy-to-install smart lock. There are many options as far as technology and functionality. You can easily unlock your door remotely, monitor who enters and leaves your home, assign privileges for visitors and control your locks using smart home devices.

6. Fiberglass and Steel Doors

   Aside from having the beauty of wood, fiberglass doors are incredibly durable, weather-resistant, and energy efficient.  Steel exterior doors provide security, long-term durability, and energy efficiency, they also enhance the curb appeal of your home, with many beautiful door styles and options for an attractive woodgrain texture or smooth steel in various stains and paint colors. Either option is a great and durable choice for enhancing your home’s comfort and security.
